The Advanced Diploma in Orthodontics [AdvDipOrth] programme aims to prepare students to diagnose complex dentofacial anomalies; formulate treatment plans and predict their course. Students will also learn to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for the treatment of orthodontic/surgical problems and care for cleft-palate patients, while practicing orthodontics to a high professional and ethical standard.
The coursework will provide students with knowledge of the relevant literature and the necessary experience to integrate theoretical and clinical knowledge in the management and orthodontic treatment of patients with complex craniofacial deformities, interfacing with maxillofacial surgery and other related disciplines.
The programme includes an oral and written examination of clinical knowledge and skills, as well as a research or clinical project to be conducted and presented as a written report to a committee consisting of Internal and External Examiners.
