Overview

The Master of Wealth Management (MWM) programme at the HKU Business School offers a comprehensive curriculum that thoroughly prepares students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and industry-specific expertise required for a successful career in wealth management.

The programme is designed to provide students with the specialized knowledge and skills required to excel in the region's unique financial landscape. The programme capitalizes on Hong Kong's position as a global financial center, gateway to the Great Bay Area and mainland China, and a hub for growing wealth, preparing students for successful careers in the wealth management industry.

In addition to the cutting-edge design curriculum based on research and practice, the programme recognizes the practical nature of the wealth management field, which incorporates professors of practice, adjunct professors, and guest lecturers to introduce students to the latest industry skills and practices. These industry professionals play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Students need to complete a total of twelve courses. In addition to the core and elective courses offered by the programme itself, students can take up to two elective courses from other taught postgraduate programmes offered by the School.

Entrance Requirements

1. A recognized Bachelor's degree or equivalent;

2. Statements from two referees; and

3. A TOEFL/IELTS* score if you are not from an English teaching university.

*A minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (internet-based test) in TOEFL, or a minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in IELTS is required.
