Overview

The Master of Arts in the field of Chinese Historical Studies (MA) programme aims at providing students with the requisite knowledge and training to conduct independent research in Chinese history. It also caters for the continuing-education needs of secondary-school teachers and enthusiasts of Chinese history and culture.

The programme includes a capstone course and eight courses in Chinese historical materials and methodology, Chinese historiography, and various topics related to the history and culture of imperial, modern and contemporary China.

Medium of Instruction

Putonghua, Cantonese, and/or English

Entrance Requirements

1.  A good bachelor's degree from a recognised university, or equivalent qualifications.

2.  Candidates may be invited to take a qualifying examination or attend an interview.
