The Master of Arts in European Studies, examines the political, economic, cultural, and social experience of Europe. It focuses on European international relations, cultural studies, and intercultural communication, while also placing Europe in a global context. Students will be taught by leading scholars in the field. Students are expected to have already achieved an advanced level of study in the French, German, Spanish, or Russian language. This programme prepares students for further study at the PhD level in a variety of Arts fields or advancement in the professional job market.
English and European target languages
A good Bachelor’s degree in European Studies or related disciplines, including, but not limited to Anthropology, Cultural Studies, History, Linguistics, Literature, Media Studies, Politics, and Sociology; and a high degree of language abilities already achieved in French, German, Spanish, or Russian.
For French, German and Spanish: level B2.2 or C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
For Russian: level II or III in the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL)
